I think it will go right on without a spacer plate.

Why make power half the time with a 4-stroke when you could make it all the time with a 2-stroke?

im not sure, but i think if you run the long rod piston (88-89 piston) then you dont have to run the spacer... but if you want to run the 86 piston then you need to run the spacer... I AM NOT POSITIVE!!!!

By 86 bottom, I am figuring you're talking about an 86 crank. The cases don't matter.
In that case all you need is to run an 86 piston (you cannot run an 88-89 piston).

I copied this from another forum awhile ago, can't give credit to who posted it though as I didn't copy that...

the following works:

85/86 crank, any year cylinder, 85/86 piston
87-89 crank, any year cylinder, 87-89 piston
87-89 crank, any year cylinder, 85/86 piston, 5mm spacer plate

Titanium Rod from a CR250
ESR TRX 5 Pipe

Shave Head, doing absolutly nothing as the piston seems very low in the jug.

Current State: Trying to figure out the damn jetting.

Soon to be added mods (when cash flow permits):
Air Stryker carb
cr250 V-Force 2's (if the guy I found still has them in stock when I get the cash)
