Finall got my R running!!! and almost killed it again.

So for those who didnt see my first post on this site. I bought a 250r for next to nothing and instead of going through it to make sure everything was good I just rode it....for 20 minutes that is then it blew up with a bum waterpump. Anyway now I just got done going through the motor all new bearings in the bottom, piston rings bore job.... So I got it together saturday broke it in and went to ride it today and all is well except at full throttle it dosent want to go, jetting I think but looking into it, i got tired of playing with the carb so i went to pull off the kick starter to see why it wont stay back when i am riding and I see oil on the frame rails. Oh no!! i thought I had a bum gasket, nope lost the oil check bolt, about half a quart low. Thankfully I drained the rest and saw no metal hopefully all is well inside as i only ran it for mabey 20 min total.

Anyway this is my first 2 stroke and even not running up to par I love it. The motor seems a bit pipey but i guess I will wait and see how it is when it is properly jetted, and I get the esr pipe I bought on it.

It isnt much to look at now, stripping it, painting it and new plastic this winter but i will post some pics when I get all the plastic back on.
