Sure, depending how bad the initial port job was done.
There are many options.
Some will weld aluminum to the areas that need attention.
Others will use epoxy.
For a full "drag racing" port there is a substantual amout of porting involved that may fix a "bad port job" that has been done previously.

Sure can. It all depends on what kind of porting the cylinder originally has though. For example, you can't take a drag ported cylinder and expect to be able to port it for low end grunt. There has just been too much material removed. You can always remove more material, but you can't get it back (if that makes any sense). Typically a large company's porting (CT, ESR, etc) isn't the greatest and can be cleaned up and adjusted to better suite your needs, which means more power.

yeah it can be fixed depending on what style it was done for... but even it was a CT "drag port" i'm sure it still could be fixed because their port jobs dont consist of too much time, normaly just removing casting marks and making things look pretty, thier shit it really tame compared to most.

Contact member Flotek, his name is Denny and he does great port work at great prices, he will tell you what can and can't be done to your cylinder.

I agree ! The "BIG COMPANIES" do a production type of porting.
Stick with a porting guy that will talk to you one on one and discuss the type of riding that you do.
Picture this:

FMF- a production pipe that caters to the mass group of people that just want a "bolt-on pipe" to make more power than a stock pipe.

or

Matt Shearer- shearer pipes, Who builds a pipe for your specific application to maximize horsepower!

CT knocks the high spots off the ports and calls it a high rev port
Duncan racing usually hogs out the intake then the unimportant areas .. leaving the power producing areas untouched then calls it maximum overdrive or eliminator or some other catch phrase like that .
