firing problems

i have a 1988 trx 250r it is usually real hard to start but after it starts it runs great but now a cant get the damn thing to fire it has a pro design kill switch and i heard of them going bad and the bike not startings but i was wondering if yall havw any ideas whats wrong with it or where to start looking for the problem

i would disconnect tha kill switch and see if it will fire if not try a new plug also make sure ur ground for ur coil is good too
