400EX on A 250R

I am new to this board, sorry if this has been asked or discussed before. I have 1986 TRX 250R, I have had it about 7 years. I have rebuilt it, just over stock, and installed an ESR pipe and silencer, and installed 400EX front shocks. It had "shaved" front fenders and the rear were cracked. I never wanted to spend the big money on a new set of plastic, so I painted it, needless to say that looked good for a while. Now that I have made a short story long. I picked up a brand new set of Honda 400EX plastic for $200. Has anyone ever custom fit 400EX plastic on a 250R? Any help would be appreciated. Have even checked on a couple 400ex chassis and thought about putting my motor in it.

400 ex xhassis is well layed out but.as far as makin the plastic fit you will likyl ahve to custom make all new mounting brackits....if iwas you sell the frog plastics and buy 86 plastics......but thats mee...if youe stuck on the frogger plastics mountin em might be intrersting

I know there is someone on here that put the 400ex plastic on an lt250r,so im thinking you could make it work.
The 400ex/450r/and 250r All have similar frame geometry. I think you should be able to pull it off. If you do,you have to post some pics,because im considering this same swap.
And btw i think the mosquito eye 400ex plastic is some of the coolest out.

I've seen a couple 250r's with 400ex plastic on them, don't know how they mounted them though

The japanese now know americans will buy the girly cartoon look that they like over there. Gone is red, white, blue with a Ford and a burger joint in the background of their ads (saw an old nighthawk print ad this weekend). Now it's near pink plastics and cartoon bubble gum butterfly wings. You're gonna spend some time hackin on that and that might be fun, but that's kinda like fuckin an ugly chick. It seemed fun at the time, but when you're done you're scratching your head staring at some fucking ugly shit. I'm just waiting till they incentivise new bike purchases with free bubble gum and hentai trading cards. I still have a pair of balls though. Pink fucking 4strokes... Can you believe it? Fuck you .
