| My 88 250r just quit running at Coos Bay last weekend. Back at camp had no spark. I think I've tested every ignition component possible. After cleaning all components, I had a weak spark when you really kicked the bike over hard. Still wouldn't start. Replaced CDI with Dynatek CDI. Now has good spark. Bike starts now, but won't idle and basically runs likes it has a fouled plug. Obvioulsly tried several new plugs. Was second ride on fresh carb rebuild and brand new V-force reeds. ![]() Please help. |

| Did you try the spark plug itself? How is compression? Did you seize it in that sea level, cool air?

| I tried several new spark plugs. Compression is normal, engine kicks over normal. I'll try coil wire next. I did resistance test on coil and it passed, but maybe it's still shorting out. |

| I did not get a programmbale ignition. Stator output checks out. This is really starting to get me, everything seems to be working perfect and check out great. I've got a new coil on order, even though it ohmed out OK. |
