Default axle lock nut same as 05 400ex?

I just bought a lock nut assy on ebay for a 05 400ex. i looked on bike bandit and the nuts have the same part number but the thread piece has diff number and costs $10 more for the 250r. Will this work or did i just waste my money?

The 400ex nut will work. The 400ex does'nt have the small collar that goes on before the c clip. The clip groove Is built Into the nut on the ex. I have used 400ex nut assemblys, and just used the R collar on the outside of the 400ex nut.
