| ^ True most planes use either 100 LL ( low light ) or karosine. Im just wondering on if the amsoil recommemed 50:1 ratio will work best ?

| 50:1 is to light for that bore size of a motor 40:1 is a good start

| I would run at least 40:1,wich is about 3 ounces of oil a gallon i cant remember the exact amount. If you buy a bottle of klotz,it has the mixture amounts right on the back. If amsoil makes a 2 stroke oil im sure its high quality |

| what kind of riding are you gonna be doing? I'd say you would be safe with 50:1 if you was gonna be doing low-mid rpm riding, like say tight trails or playing around in the sand. the 50:1 would help keep from fouling plugs. but I would deffinatly go with 40:1 if you gonna be in the upper rpms alot or long WOT hauls across the sands.

Wow. You should definitly try to not post mis-information. LL = Low Lead. The benefits of leaded fuel are great for a 2-stroke, the health and environmanttal effects........ not so much. The whole altitude thing is BS, someone was hinting at that, av-gas is blended very consistently and doesn't have any of the drawbacks that the race-gas companies put out there. Another thing to keep in mind is that higher octane doesn't mean "better", read up on BTU's vs. Octane rating. BTW, that thing is NICE......I'm jealous. You should ask the previous owner what it was set-up for in terms of fuel. Sure would suck to hole your piston if the head was set-up and it was jetted for 110. |
