To update the rear to a long travel setup, like the CR500 or no-link, you will need more than just the shock. With the CR500 link setup you'll need a CR500 link style aftermarket frame, a CR500 link swing arm, and then a CR500 link rear shock and linkage. With the no-link setup you'll need a no-link aftermarket frame, a no-link swing arm, and a no-link rear shock. Both setups offer more travel, but are both slightly different from each other as far as handling goes. The CR500 is better for soaking up huge air/hard landings, whereas the no-link is better for whoops. Regardless, either setup is superior to the stock link setup in every way. Hope that helps.
