| Well, sort of. You have to take into consideration that in stock form your probably not going to get through the powerband in 6th, just not enough muscle. Plus, if you go from a stock pipe to a esr-5 your going to pick up a good many rpms. I'd say a little port work, esr-5 will hit 72 mabey 73 with a good stiff breeze lol

| bad ass, you are not correct by sayin adding performance mods will not increase the top speed. with some mods like an intake and exhaust, the engine might be able to rev higher and higer revs means a greater top speed. also like full tilt said, with more power you might be able to completely rev the engine out in top gear where you couldn't before. |

| I wouldnt care about top speed at all. I would worry for about 0 to 50 or 60 miles per hour. Sure i could gear my 250r to do like 80,but what good would that do? If my 250r would only go 65 mph top speed, but go from 0 to 60 in 4 seconds ANd i raced a 250r that was geared to go 80mph,but took 6.5 seconds to get to 60,then im going to murder him in a 300 or 500 ft drag race. I am running about the same setup as you are, except im running a sparks mx pipe. Your bike should be no slouch at all if it runs like mine. |

| I think you could pull quite a few more mph with mods and not changing gearing. With top end mods youll get more rpm's,plus youll be able to rev out 6th. Im just guessing here but i bet you could pull 5-10 more mph with bolt ons |
