250r dont get traction

well i got my 250r back together and when i ride it its faster than hell, but i cant wheelie, all the tires do is spin.... they dont get much traction... wtf is wrong... i see vids of 250rs that get good traction and pop the front up easily... why cant mine.... ive got brand new kenda knarlies and mods are in my sig... i weigh 120 without gear...

Seriously? Keep on practicing... the front end will come up. Start off in first gear, about 1/4 throttle or so, and then lean back, pull up on the bars a bit, and punch that bitch. You can do that in 2nd gear too. And perhaps in 3rd.

Actually, since you're so light, it might be easier to do in 2nd because you'll get less wheel spin. Don't be scared about it coming over too much, but you'll probably fall off the back a couple of times. If you feel it coming too far back, past the balancing point, you can tap the rear brake to bring the front end back down. Once you find the balancing point you can keep the front end up and shift through the gears if you've got enough space.

i guess i wil just have to practice... but i guess im just not heavy enough.... it spins the tires on the road if i just goose it so its got plenty of power to wheelie.. just need more weight i guess...

how much air are you runnin in your rears, you want them soft ---but not flat about 8lbs

adjust the bottom screw on the shock soft and the top softer

Try a set of ohtsu radials (400 ex tires). Run about 4-5 lbs, you'll be reaching for the sky in no time lol

or you could get super grippy tt tires lol or drag tires
