rear brakes not working????

well i went riding one day after i put new chain and swinger on.. and my dumb ass didnt tighten the rear caliper down. lol long story short i lost it and couldnt find it.. so i got one off of flea bay.. i hooked it up and was in the process of bleeding them and it will act like its bleeding when i hold petal down and un do the little bleeder fluid will squirt out but the brake pads tthere self wont compress on the disk ????? there are no leaks that i can see.. but i put some cardboard under and gonna go check in a few.... any ideas?? caliper need rebuilt?? if so is it hard to do and if not how do i do it ?? or the resivor leaking in air? bad line ? or master cylinder???

Push your pistons all the way in with a c-clamp and leave the clamp on tight. Then bleed it. Sometimes you can get air caught in the caliper itself and all the bleeding in the world wont get it out unless you do it like that. Good luck!!!

i put the clamps on and bled it. then they pads still werent grabbing so i tried to bleed it a couple more times.. and twisted the little bleeder nut thing in half..
