| Of course it can. If your R is an 86 and has the stock crank it is the short rod so you won't have to run the spacer plate either. As far as longevity goes, it depends on a lot of things... A lot of people run big bore kits with stock rebuilt short rod cranks and are fine. In fact, I know that some people prefer the short rod rebuilt cranks (they no longer make new OEM ones).
