| Slip a penny in between the hub gear and the crank gear and have at it. Or use an impact to spin that nut off. Just make sure to bend the washer tabs flat if there is one. |

| It's not hard at all as the ratchet gear has a pin on the back side that slips into a hole. The spring is the only thing that needs to be reinstalled correctly or the kicker will just fall or stay at the bottom. You can probably get the kicker gear out of the motor without removing the clutch basket but it won't go back in without a fight. On the back side there is a smaller spring with a cog that has teeth that gives the ratchet action. There are two dot's on both that need to be realigned when reinstalled. |

A penny is softer than a bolt also. |

so if a put the clutchs in and take a impact to it it should come off right and the washer has to be perfectly flat and maybe have some one hold the clutches and hub when im spinning the nut off |
