Default CR250 ignition with dynatek fs?

I have a atc 250r with an ESR woods ported 310. I bought an 01' cr ignition but I haven't installed it yet- actually still debating. Anyway, How big of a difference does the dynatek make? Is it worth the $250 for a play bike? Is it going to be a huge difference when I'm playing with the 450's in the straight aways?

Another question- like I said- I haven't tried the cr ignition out yet- How much would I loose if I kept the trx ignition- got a trx dynatek fs and lightened the flywheel? My main concern is running lights- I know I can get a lighting stator but Is the cr ignition worth the price + the price for the lighting stator vs the trx with the dynatek and lightened flywheel?

the main difference you will notice with the cr ignition is that it will rev more than twice as fast as the stock ignition/flywheel. like you just touch the throttle and it revs to the moon.

HI eat a 450. I want to get a 2001 cr 250 ignition but I want to keep my lites. You mentioned a lighting stator that goes with cr250 ignition. Where do you get that setup. I would appreciate help if you could. I posted my problem in the trx 250r forum on 9-14-08 Thanks,Uncle Reemis

Yeah, Dennis Kirk has the moose brand. There are some on ebay as well- a couple of different brands- They're all around $150.

You can also get a small drycell battery and install it in the air cleaner box. The only problem is you will have to charge it before you ride but it should keep the charge for a full night of riding. That is allot cheaper but like I said you have to go through the hassle of charging it.

Some people love the CR, I am one. Personally I wouldn't run the dyna on a TRX setup. I haven't heard of anything but problems with the box.
