For real?? Could you explain how this works? |

| this is what have been told by having it rigid theres some kind of minor resistance put a tach on it and it will rev slightly higher with a unmounted head but i doubt its much of anything thats applicable in real world performance

| I've noticed with the quadracers head mount that if you hit a jump hard or just ride to much the mounts will allow the head to move around and eventually blow your gasket.

| i think thats probably the main reason they offer them without a head stay to keep pressure off the sealing area and deter warpage

| This is one of those topics that will bring out all the opinions. Some good some not so good. But that is what it's all about. I for one am looking forward to where this goes. As for my opinion. Something that you don't usually have to ask for. Just check with the guys I run with *cough* lilwood *cough*. Pros On one side you can go with the 'let the engine move'. More revs, no stress on jug. On another side there is the 'hold it still'. It adds strength to the frame. Cons 'let the engine move'. More vibs, poss stress to cases. 'hold it still'. Puts fore/aft stress on jug. OK, next.

| hmm, so it wouldnt actually "hurt" anything to run it without the head stay? cause mine is all fucked up with the bolt holes all egged out and its a real bitch to put in and stuff. you say that it would make a little more vibration on the frame, but would it put more stress on the other motor mounts or engine cases? cause thats one of my biggest problems with my R.............breaking motor mounts ![]()
