| So I have a 1987 250r and it will not Idle. The idle screw does a tiny bit like 200 rpms but as soon as it idles 2-3 seconds it stalls out. Any ideas. I had the carb off and sprayed out the jet part of the idle and it flows ok. |

| It hesitates below half throttle. I am new to this carb tuning thing so I don't know if it is lean or not. This got worse after installing the rad valve with pro series reeds. Should I try going up first? |

| yes go up one size on the pilot jet, then up one again, and if nothing changes then you are prolly to rich, hows it run with the choke on??? does it run good down low with the choke on??? if it does then ur lean, if it gets wors then your rich.

| Not really much change when the choke is pulled as far as I remember. I am not sure though. Will try to check when I get home. |

| I ran it at idle with the choke and it makes it a little worse, I didn't drive it though. I have the intake snorkel off and there is a little air/fuel mixture spitting back out of the carb at idle and 1/4. Is this normal? Are my new reeds not sealing enough? If it is normal I'll pull out the pilot jet and see what size. |

| its to rich, and yes im pretty sure thats normal that its leaking a bit, not positive though
