Im loking into different motors, but Ive got a damn near stock 250r that Im pulling up to seventy with my quad, that only weighs about 150 pounds less than the pilot. I do agree though, dont take me wrong. I will look into the 500. I figure at that case, I could rebuild the 250r for my quad, and then have a backup if I needed it so.....

As for the kick start comment about electric starts bein for girls. The only reason I want the electric start is because f the fact that if I stall, Ive got to unbuckle, get out, kick start, then get back in, and buckle up, before I have a chance to go again. Just a bigger pain in the ass.

But I do thank you for your concern haha

I know, Im trying to come up with different ways to make this work, the latest idea is a bard from the kick start to the front of the pilot that could kick start it from the seated position. We'll see, that would be a chore to get it to work right. So... wish me luck and keep the ideas coming

how about a big single thumper. some xr600 and 650's came with electric start and have all the wiring for lights and a charging system for a battery. the 650's with a pipe and free flowing intake can put down over 50 horse at the wheel. very good torque numbers as well.

Is the pilot belt driven? or does it have a transmission? If it is belt driven then I would think that an electric start sled motor would be a perfect candidate for the swap, and two stroke.

A snowmobile motor with a electric start would be better in my opinion

plus its a lightweight two stoke and would be automatic

I'm with rsss396 on this one if you are going to do a conversion on a pilot or odyssey,a snowmoblie motor would be the way to go for sure just because you dont have to mess with rigging up a clutch and a way so shift and all that other crap I would find a good used triple fab up the mounts drop it in and haul some serious ass!!! I have 3 odysseys sitting in my drive way right now that we have been comtemplating doing this to for a while now lol
