Default 310 rings question

on the 310 i am putting on my bike it is on 72.50 bore and i was wondering what the end gap should be on the rings or should it be the same as a stock 250r and one more question do you have to change the studs when you put the 310 cylinder on or can you just use the stock studs this is my first time every rebuilding a bike and i am just tryin to do everything right so everybody help is very much appreciated

what yr bottom end do you have? You can get away with factory studs on a 86 crank. On the ring gap question I would go by the piston manufacture's tolerences

it is a 88 bottom end and where can i find the info about the piston manufactures tolerences

I would imagine its a pro-x piston. The factory ring gap tolerences should be fine. Have you checked it yet? Why not just get a set of new rings and give that cylinder a fresh hone. You'd be better off in the end

it is i a new piston and rings with a new bore with a weisco piston i was just wondering if the new ring gap is right or would i have to make the gap a little bigger so when the rings get hot they dont frezze together
