Default Time to replace the reeds. Vforce3 or Boysen?

Hi! For some reason the search doesn't work with neither one of my browsers, thus I keep asking questions that have probably been answered a long time ago...

So, I am thinking of upgrading/replacing the reeds of my 86 250R, and I am trying to chose between the stock cage and Boysen Pro reeds vs Vforce3 cage and Moto Tassinari reeds. Which ones should I go with? Is it worthed to spend the extra $80 for the Vforce3's ?

I am currently running with the stock carb, but I will be looking to upgrade to a bigger one in the near future, if that makes a difference.

Thanks!

everyone has there own opinion on this, ive tried the duncan pyramid valve,vforce2, and boyesens on stock valve.right now i have a rad valve in it. the duncan pyramid seemed to have the best low to mid,the vforce2 was an improvement on top end, boyesens on stock cage are a little better than stock petals,i think i like the rad valve best all around.these power gains are noticable but not any big hp gains to be had. i think the vforce3 is adjustable/??. every application is different depending on how your R is tuned. i run a lrd adjustable pipe, mid range porting 220 psi compression,38mm roundslide carby.

DUNCAN ALL THE WAY!!! The throttle response is exellent.I've run em all, on the same motors and for sure the duncan is the best and last forever! They are pricy is the only drawback, but well worth it!! IMHO Im sure there will be others with different opnions, and different types of riding will affect your choice. On my drag bikes its duncan all the way,and on my play/dune bikes its the boyeseen cages!! Im running a set of V-force 3's on my wifes trx and they are fine right now,but just are not as crisp on the throttle as the others.I would use the boyeseen cage with a stock carb if it were me!Anyway, good luck on what ever you choose.

every dyno chart that ive seen shows the
vforce out performing the duncan cage...

even better...have the stock cage ported
then install the boyesen reed petals.

I've read that duncans cages flow LESS than stock. Never seen anything by duncan that impressed me, and Ive ridden with 4 different bikes built by them.

In a 250r, Vforce for all out power, boysen for smooth all around power
