400ex 250r parts swap

I know where I can get a 426ex with +2s, axle, nerfs, pep zps all the way around, etc. I also know where I can get a stock set-up 310R. I would like to end up with an mx 310r and sell what is left as a running quad. Would it be easier (or possible) to: 1) swap the after markets to the 310r or 2) put the 310 engine in the 426ex frame?

1) arms and either swing arm setup or axle need to be compatible
2) Front mounts are under $30, but the rear mounts and sprocket will need to line up. Also, there needs to be a way to mount the radiator. Maybe filter box problems?

Please let me know if anyone has done, tried, or knows about either option.

This is for my brother, I spent all of my money on an elka rear shock. I figured I need the suspension more than the power upgrade; I'm trying to set my brother up with both.

250R and 400EX use different link setups for the swingarm. You will need to do some modifying to make the swingarm fit.

400EX spindles fit on a 250R BUT you will either have to spend $150 on the adapters to use 250R dual piston calipers or use the single piston 400EX calipers.

Thanks, the arms, shocks, and axle are on the 310R and seem to be functioning the way they are supposed to.
