Question Cr500 Vs Crf450 And 2005cr250r

I am forever having arguments with mates about who will win i have a 1995 cr500 tuned right up and they think stock 250 2strokes and 450 4 strokes will run rings round my 500 but a 500 has moor hp and talk than both and a lot moor talk than both so how will win in

round a track

drag races

hill clims

if they all had the same rider on them so it was fair

plese help to stop the bitching lol

Im sure a cr500 will have no problems in drag and hill climbing, but around a mx track rider skill has everything to do with it. You can get beat on a mx track by someone on an 80 if they know what they are doing and you dont

for a comparison with riders very similar in skill a cr500 with a PC pipe and a KTM 450 SX with a FMF pipe on a an oval and road course track on the ice the cr500 dominated the 450 SX. both bike had very similar tire setups by the same guy so that shouldnt be too much of a factor.

the 500 has about twice the amount of torque down low so you would have to be able to hook the machine up or the others would bet you... mx yes i would take the 450 for smoothness the cr250 in short track the 500 on open long pulls hill climbs and drags.. the 500 has to much bottom so i would on a track have my rider run a taller gear set to us the bopttom and mid the monster loves the lower rpms us them shift shorter. then you should stomp them..on most mx tracks i would run our Gass Rx crf 250 race bike. or our old 01 rm or 01 125cr... easier to control power makes most let off,,, let off for a second thats what you are... suspension is the key...

everything depends on the conditions of the track... and the way the suspensions are setup.

short drag i vote the 250 or 450 just because of the shorter gearbox.

put em in a sand drag where te enigne are laoded hard... that 500 will walk all over the 450 and 250... by bus lengths
