Default Holeshot HD's or Maxxis Razr 2

Buying some new tires for the R. Trying to figure out which ones would be better. I go trail riding mostly, but will probably do some drag racing at Busco. Any suggestions?

razr 2's a great tire, i have itp gncc's and wil be switching bacdk to razr 2;s next tire, all the itps ware out so fast , softer compound and that split knob , hooks up great for a while then they are useless

I have Holeshot xct's but i'm not impressed with them. I think its a trade off, if you want better traction you need a softer compound, if you want your tires to last you need a HD 6 ply tire.

I used to have dunlops from a raptor on and when new they hooked up better.

I have the gncc holeshots too, but I wish I never bought em. I got the bigger 21-11x9's and they are a heavy ass tire, I wouldnt use em for anyting but trail riding or maybe xc racing. wish I would have got the 20's instead. to me they suck at sliding, there is just to much tread on the side and they wont break traction to let you slide. but they do provide lots and lots of traction. they work nice in real rutted trails. as long as you keep em a turnin, they are gonna keep movin. but the main problem with mine is I can get em to hold air, they leak all around the bead. ive tried several differnt rims and they still leak.

right now im ridin on a set of regular razars at about 50% tread left. im not sure what im gonna go with after those, but I have a couple different choices in mind.

damn i forgot how good they look when they are new, the gncc's, they are a nasty tire, if i was riding in softer terrain id love em, but on hard packed trails and coal climbs, they just dont last, my friend had the xcr's and they wore out even quicker, im gona have to take a pic of my rear tires and show you guys what they look like after 8-10 rides on em, its pretty sad.. and KY yea mine have leaked since day 1 too. especially my left one, i cant find a hole anywhere, if i pump them up, even over inflate them, and leave it in my garage for 2 days, the left one is almost flat, but at the same time, i dont have any plugs in any of them, the front tires are awesome, and steer and handle awesome i love them, but having said all that, they still are NASTY tires, for xc traction they are hard to beat, my friend had the 21's too, heavy as hell, the 20's are actually more like 19's though, but they sure do hook up awesome, as far as the HD's, they are huge and heavy as hell and i would never run them

yea I wish I would have got the 20s instead. they are noticable smaller and not as wide, but still have the huge knobs. later on im gonna try breaking em off the bead again and put some kind of gasket silicone all around the bead where it seats on the rim, then pop em back on the rim and see if that fixes the leak.

I tell you a set of tires that might be similar are the itp trac stars. I seen some at the dealer, and the knobs on those are just as big as those on the gncc's. and plus they are a 4 ply radial tire also.
