The KTM is a sweet ride, for the little extra money you get a lot of quality parts, plus the motor is the strongest of the bunch. Suzuki is making killer bikes right now. The YZ would not be a bad choice, I have to agree with the other dude and say to stay away from the KX125, the motor is weak and it handles like shit. And of course the CR is usually a solid pick no matter the year. If your buddy wants power go with the KTM, unless he doesnt have the extra $$, then the RM. Or if he's a die hard honda guy, then f*** it go with good ol' red.

ive heard that the cr125 is real good handling like all hondas but it lacks a little power, the yz or rm are prob the best bet for the money. The ktm is a powerhouse but ive also heard that the suspention hold back the power?

Yea Id have to agree with you there. The new ktm125sx suspension sucks major ass. Its probably a better setup than the kx suspension but its still near the bottom of the list. The rear element isnt the bad part its the bad fork setup.

I personally have never rode a ktm so i could not tell u how they handle. But i have heard there motor is really strong. The cr is pretty much a solid bike just about every year the made them. I dont like the kx it has all the power in one spot and so when u do hit the spot its a real jolt of uncontrolled power and i hate the suspesion. The yz is a really nice bike! Personally i would go with the yz or the cr. Just because they are both really strong bikes. And if u do get the yz or cr there is no low end. But to fix that put a pipe on it and it help Emesilly
