310r carb questions

I am new to the whole 2 stroke thing. About 6 months ago I bought a trx 250r. I was told the motor had a new top end long story short the guy lied to me the head was cracked and the bottom half was shot. So I bought a used motor on ebay and had it rebuilt with a esr 310 with esr pipe. It ran fine for about a month then yesterday it started lugging bad. It would start and idle then when I opened the throttle it would lug really bad. When I shut it off I noticed the carb was pouring racing fuel out of the carb. So I took the carb apart thinking it was the float it was clean in there and the float seemed to move well. I put the bowl back on and now I am getting no fuel. Does anyone have any ideas whats wrong?

What is the ideal carb to run on my 310 if I decide to buy a new one?
