| I am rebuilding a '96 CR 80R for a friend. Anyone know if the cylinder is plated in this bike? Can the plating be cut off when it is bored out and used as a standard steel cylinder. Thanks for any help. |

| It's probably plated, you would need to bore it all the way out, then install a sleeve, probably be cheaper just to have it replated

| go get it plated i use us chrome to do all my plating.. there fast and the work is great... the sleeve issue isnt a go idea it does loose power plus adds weight. plus i seen the sleeve twist/ drop. plus the ports need match and most places will charge the rate of porting,,
