Default I'm running an autoclutch on my R!

I'm running an autoclutch on my 250R! The best mod i ever made! Helps ALOT!!! I race MX and I get awesome holeshots! I never ever slip again. While most are downshifting or pulling in their clutches on a tight turn i just wizz by just letting off the gas a lil and keep a steady RPM then nail it as im comming out. With my clutch I can still use it manually but with one finger pulls or just autoclutch. I had mine custom made by EFM their site is http://www.efmautoclutch.com. Its expensive though. I shipped them my complete clutch assembly (basket, plates, everything) and the whole thing done for $550. Cheaper than the Revloc autoclutch that sells for a grand. A friend of mine has a autoclutch on his dune banshee and loves it too.

That kinda defeats the purpose a little. You still have to let off for it to shift. Why not get a dunable 1-4 override tranny. Full throttle shifts, no let off. It would be cheaper to.

Never argue with an idiot. They'll just drag you down to their level, and beat you with experience!

It depends what kind of riding, an override is not going to be a good choice for MX or woods riding.

For drag racing the auto clutches have no advantage, but they can be good for dune riding.

The slip in the clutch(which is adjustable) at lower rpms allows you to be in a higher gear so your not constantly down shifting to stay in the powerband.

But common sense is required not to allow the clutch to slip to much and prematurely wear the plates.

They also eliminate for the most part stalling of the motor because of the clutch disconnecting the load at idle rpms.

Oh I know a override wont work for mx, but he races tt. Plus the whole stalling aspect, learn how to ride it and you dont have that problem. I can see where it would help 4 strokes like a trx450r but on a 2 stroke, learn how to use the clutch. The clutch is your friend lol
