Why dont you try a slightly larger pilot. With the ignition off, give it 5 or 6 really slow kicks then give her hell

properly located grooves can be added/ported above the exhaust port that will have an easy kick effect like a decompression and make starts alot better i have done this to the honda cr500 with good results

haha nahhh.

i had it for sell a while back for like 6-700$.
but after i actually rode it i loved it to hell.
all the locals look at me like im a nut job riding a wheelie on it down the street(not meaning to).it liked to try and loop me.
our buddy frank(260lb 34 year old) rode it abnd was scared and thinks im crazy haha.

i tried rocking it back and forth and gave it 3 slow kicks and gave it 3 hell of kicks holding my breath hopign it wouldnt back lash.
started right the hell up.

it is a bit big but im really tall so i fit perfect on it,,,,except my weight.

my girlfriend has a medium built shee and my buddys have a raptor 660,,,,,stock shee,,,,and some 450 4 pokes,,,,,,,,i ride a 04 400ex also,,,and they sued to smoke the hell out of me,,,,i get a kick out of them getting in front of me thionking there gonna smoke me and zooming right the hell past them in an instant.:]
feels great as hell,,,and funny as there jaws drop,,,as my face is purple.

You may need to aquire a beer belly in order to properly start such a machine... The left foot thing is all psychological... after a couple hundred kicks and going to bed with a sore left leg a few times it will become second nature... eventually you will get a charge out of watching other people try to start it.

haha.
what i do is lean it over a bit so gas will slosh and get in the carb,,,,,i rest my foot on the kicker, and let it fall all the way down once,,,kick it 2 times easy,,and kick it like all high hell, and it usually starts like 2nd kick.
