anybody got any tricks to make it start easier?

this things as bad as a cr500.,,,but worse,,,,left side kick.

whenever i wanna ride it i had to kick it for an hour.

CR480R is on a distinguished road

lean the focker over until gas dump on the ground... give it a few primer kicks witht the choke on... and stomp on it like there is no tomorrow... big-bores dont care how much you weigh.. its all about sack... kick it through all the way to the peg...if the compression has been drastically altered you may need to pull start it when cold...or grind a decompression slot... a leaking carb and petcock can also cause some serious trouble

That's good advice. The Nology coil made my 400 alot easier to start.

left side kickers are hard as fuck to kick over. I hate those bikes I used to own an old ass honda enduro (not sure what model) and I always just roll started it off of a hill.

If you don't have one or have never tried to start a big bore 2 smoker, you need not apply here.
