86 cr125 won't start

Hey everybody, new here. Son bought this bike and was told it needed CDI box-no spark. I got a used one off ebay and now have spark -doesn't seem bright enuf to me, will shock you pretty good though. It won't fire at all kicking it. We tried to pull start it yesterday and it half way ran a couple of times until you give it some throttle. Compression is well over 100psi and doesn't leak off. gas on the plug if you pull it out. Any ideas? Is my "new" CDI no good either?

100 psi doesnt sound like alot man especially not on a 125 i rebuilt my rm when it hit 110

It actually went to 150 after a few slow actuations of the kicker. No bleed off.

When i bought my kx80 the guy said it needed a new cdi. It would fire and almost run when towed. i cleaned off the spark plug and it ran mint. So i guess what im saying is have you tried a new plug?

put in similar plug-no better

i would put a new plug in and check tha gap in between tha flywheel and tha pick up for tha coil

i would say it needs some rings.. i would pull it apart and take a peek

well turns out he didnt swap the plug. I put another one in this evening and it fired first kick! boy do I feel stupid
