| I would suggest dropping the pilot jet 1 size, and get rid of the b7es for a b8es. The choke adjuster Idle screw can add confusion to the low end tuning also. I suggest you drop the pilot to a 45-50, then turn your air screw out 1-1/2 turns. Then adjust the Idle/choke knob until It will Idle decent. Then fine tune the Idle with the air screw. Remember that turning the air screw In gives less air, out gives more air. The main jet has nothing to do with Idle. I would also make sure the slide Is In correctly. Make sure the cutout Is towards the rear of the carb, as that will make the bike Idle stupid rich. |

| I would leave the B7, no reason to switch to a colder plug. I would switch from a B7ES to a BR7EVX and I dont think you will foul as often. What oil are you using? Is the bike piped? intake mods? Motor mods? Need a little more info.

| I have a FMF Gnarly and a Power Core 2, use ams-oil fully syntec.. It's bored twice over with a Vertex piston and mild porting.. I don't foul plugs just loads up like i'm dumpin gas straight into the engine.. I've got the bike to idle fine and run well but don't want to drop the main jet because it already has a small bog on the bottom once it's cracked at the bottom of a hill climb.. I did jump the main to the 175 because when I bought the bike it had a 205 in it.. Been told to change the pilot but not sure what size to match with the 175 main.. |
