Stock Z-400 compared to your modded R? In a drag race you'd win for sure. Just make sure where ever you race traction isn't going to be a problem (try a paved road if you can )

I had a Z400 Piped, re- jetted, down a tooth in the front ,4 over swig arm. Needless to say I got my ass handed to me by a 14 year old on a blaster. I doubt you'll have any problems. The only way he could get you is if he has a stealth big bore kit, then it could be close. If he doesnt have an extende swing arm on that thing it will stand up quick and you should have a great hole shot. 400 are notoriously easy to wheelie. Have a blast and just think of the parts his $200 are going to buy you.

Yeah, I had 150 lbs on the kid but the litltle shit could ride. Raced my buddy on his shee. 4 second head start and he still was in another zip code by the end. That shit won't happen again. Just got my 03 chassis back together and am waiting for a few more parts for the engine. Hope to have pics soon.

Just so you know, the guys quad isn't stock. Or he is a retard. There is no way anyone thinking straight would place a $200 bet on a z400 beating anything. And on top of that he says it is stock.
If I was you I would take a quick look at the quad before you race it.
Make sure you get this on video so wer can see you either whoop his ass or if the guy lied.

uh, he might actualy be that stupid..... there is a guy at my work right now with a fairly stock 400ex.... he wants to race my shee for 100 bucks.... granted, he doesnt know what a banshee is..... he is new to the sport, and i have been riding all my life. i told him i had a banshee, and he was like, whats that? and i told him it was a 350 twin cylinder 2 stroke. and he said that he could whoop my ass on his brand new bike. and in a week when he re-jets it, and adds a pipe, he can "really whoop my ass".... so after he does that we are going to race... im just waiting to collect my money... i tried to tell him... i tried to explain that he will be waxed, and that i have so much more power cause iv got two cylinders and my bike is a 2 stroke.... he looked me straight in the eyes and said..... """listen, i read all the magazines, i know what im talking about..... your banshee might be faster then a 350 cc four stroke. but it cant compete with 50 more cc's. i know all about it. and what you dont realize is that the new four strokes are putting out power like you wouldnt believe""" . . . haha... so i stopped trying to argue with him because it was getting me no where, and i saw an oppertunity to make a little cash....
