86 250r

question my 86 atc 250r smokes when i give it gas am i running to rich??i have the crank case seal replace thinking that the tranny fluid was going through the seal turnd out it seal was bad,the smoke is blue,any one have suggestions???
the way i mix is 5gal to 1 bottle mix,i was told from the bike shop...thanks

What is 1 bottle mix how many mili liters is in that blue smoke is from oil..

the mix oil 12 mili bottle golden specturo when u say oil u mean the mix right not tranny??thanks

oil is premix oil not tranny if its blue its rich 12 mili liters?thats it?like i mix 500 ml to 5 gallons of gas with fully synthetic oil so 12??

okay im telling u a trade secert of golden spectro

back in the day when i got my first atc250r my dad bought a case of golden spectro and they told us to to use a whole bottle of 12oz to 5 gallons and it smoked alot

i went to a shop to get a custom pipe put on and some fiberglass reeds and some head work and they told me all the oldskool racer were running a half a bottle of golden spectro to a get a good mix so i tried it and it ran great it only smoked at start up and when it was cold but never smoked at all and it ran great i ran the same top end for 6 years with no problems at all

I would suggest you by a ratio rite cup for around $6 and it will show you how to mix your gas so you know exactly whats going in. I'm not familiar with the Golden Spectro but you could run it at 32:1 and probably 40:1.

I agree with the half bottle. I run the Bel-Ray H1R at one bottle to 5 gallons of petro. The H1R comes in a 6 or 8 oz bottle. But it only smokes on start up and never again. I run my top ends until either they blow or I notice the rings are worn due to lack of power. I have ran the same top end for 3 years without any issue and the mix with one bottle to 5 gal is 40:1. But I have also heard that with today's synthetic's you can safely run the mix at 50:1 or even 100:1 with Amsoil pre-mix.

i run motul at 50:1..... i have a 2005 banshee... i have been riding it for 3 and a half years now with absoluetly no problems... my mehanic recomended a number of times that i mix 50:1 if i mix with motul.....
