Powdercoating the frame I don't think would be that much for a dirtbike I did my LT250 frame for $200 ish. I did all the parts for $400. If your spending the money it is so worth it to do it right so you don't have to deal scratching the paint and so on. Just my opinion.

Back to your question to get the paint code go find a site that has honda's parts manuals like ronnies it is in the parts manual what the paint code is.

This is the paint code sheet for the 1990 CR150 ronnies doesn't have anything older

Who cares what it's worth to a book? I've rebuilt bikes that cost far more than they were worth to the book, but they were worth far more to me. Besides, you can make an 85 new for less than it costs to buy 2005 new, and you got to enjoy the work doing it.

I feel your pain. My 85 XR600 made me suffer drum until I finally got off my butt and bought the entire rear end off an 89. Disc brakes will be nice this year. I ride steep mountainous trails and the squeek an squawk of the old slipping drum was driving me crazy.

Powder coat the frame. If you paint it you will soon realize that paint doesn't last very long on an offroad frame. Rocks, brush, limbs, and even long grass will wear the paint off much faster than powercoating. Powdercoatins is worth it IMO unless you'd rather repaint the frame every couple years.

None. I did have to look through a pile of linkages to find one that would fit. Dirt Bike mag did an article on the swap back in 88 or 89 telling which parts to use but I didnt have the linkage they used. A friend of mine says he did a swap on a CR125 and it was easy. His was an 86 and he used 88 parts. He claims he didnt need any machining done.
