gas pouring through cabr overflow at idle???

anyone know what goin on?
i think its a stuck needle or float or osmehtin in there.
my dads in colarado for 3 days so i cant ask him.


when im going it does not leak,and if i turn the gass off and burnout the gas in the carb it wont do it but it eventually start leaking out the overflow again.

anyone know whats up?

sounds like the floats too me

on my atc250r my floats would get stuck annd leak at idle
so i dropped a new set of floats and it runs great now

remove the carb and clean it, mine did that, i had trash in a gas can that i used and it got in the carb and hung the float needle, just take apart and clean it then i put a fuel filter inline to stop it from doing it again

i took the carb apart a little bit ago in the shed and put it in a soak cleaner foe 2 hours and put that sray carb cleaner all over it,
it was my flats,i had a small fragment of a stick in there.

yea basically anytime that you've got gas pouring out the overflow, that means that there is trash or gunk in the needle jet causing it not to close and let the gas keep flowing. a quick simple way to determin if your needle's not seating is to take the bowl off and blow through the fuel line and push your floats up, if you can still blow through its not closing off.

well i still have the carb apart,so i thik ill take a look and see if the needles seating right.

are u running e 10 that stuff breaks the crap in ur tank and sends it straight to ur carb
