Default Just Bought a 88 TRX250R....Got Some Questions

I have always riden two strokes, but sold my 00 Banshee to get a 04 YFZ450, well I missed 2 strokes so I just picked up a 88 TRX250R that is in good condition but I have some questions.

What should I mix the gas 32:1 or 20:1?

The oil drain is stripped, I put a new plug and some teflon and that is working but what should I do in the future? Oversized plug?

Anything else I should know about this quad, I have always owned brand new quads?

I've never heard of it. All of honda's quads have been so close to a 250R that I don't see why you couldn't make it work though...I'm guesing the headlights would be the hardest part to get right.

I wouldn't think it would fit, the 450r looks so much skinnier than a 250r.

I think the 450R looks cool too. I've seen a pic of 450R plastic on a 400EX, but not on a 250R. I would mix it at 32:1 if I were you. And is the case stripped or is it just the plug itself? If the plug is stripped buy a new one. If the case is stripped I feel sorry for you.

The case is stripped....I bought a new plug and put teflon on it and it is good for now, but I am thinking about down the road....I thought there was a oversized drain plug you could buy but maybe I am wrong.

ok for your premix.. use amsoil dominaotr at 50:1 youi'll be more than happy with that.. dont; worry about it beign to lean... i run my quads at that ratio all the time as do most other people on these boards.. if you need some amsoil click the link in my sig.. about the drain plug being stripped.... a LT250R or LT500R have a big drain plug maybe that will work as an over sized plug for ya.. other than that the only way i can think to fix it corectly would be a helicoil (might not work) or haveing the hole TIG welded shut and then drill and retap it back to the stock thread size... and the proper way to fix it would be with the cases split..
