| I don't see this being true. They had the CR500 for many years and discontinued it. I would not see a reason to bring it back. They would have to have some seriously good mods to meet the EPA standards

| Dirt Rider magazine had an article this month about a custom made CR500. It was made by a shop who basically does conversions that everyone would like to see but are way too expensive. I think the put the motor in a CRF250R frame. The same company also offers a conversion that puts the four stroke motor in a CR85 frame. To almost quote the article it says "this is what the CR500 WOULD be."

| Come on guys, this is Honda we're talking about here. They're such a conservative company that they'd be the last to try to keep two strokes alive. I don't see this happening at all. It's probably something like the Service Honda 250R which started the "new" TRX 250R rumors.

| I would love to see that happen, but its not likely to happen in my opinion. It would just waist Honda's money unless they could keep it going with EPA regulatory mods, so its like a dream that will soon faid away.

| Why would honda want to waste countless money and R&D on something that they could only sell for 6 months unless they did all kinds of crap to it to meet EPA then it would be a heavy turd with direct fuel injection and all kinds of exhaust valves and special pipes and everything. 99.9% chance its not true.

| The CR500AF that uses a CRF450 frame can be purchased from Service Honda for $8999. Service Honda is the only place where you can purchase a '05 TRX250R or CR500 so I imagine this will also apply to the '06 models. http://www.servicehonda.com/cr500af05.html |
