Default uni filter - oil

I have a '02 cr80 that is running rich (smokin' too much and a wet plug). It has a uni filter, fmf sst pipe and q silencer. I cleaned the air filter, checked the float level, replaced the float valve and even gone down 2 sizes on the pilot. I have not checked the reed valve yet, but I am wondering if maybe the uni filter is restricting the air flow. The uni filter has two foam elements and according to uni filter I oiled both - is it possible this is too much and causing my troubles????? Thanks to all in advance.

The filter is fine, I would try reducing the amount of two stroke oil by a very small amount. Sounds to me like your running too much oil in your gas. I run 10 oz. of a 12 oz. bottle of Golden Spectro in 5 Gallons of gas in my 82 Suzuki RM465 even though the book sez run even less. I don't mind sacrificing a little horsepower for better lubrication. So be careful how much you reduce the amount and do it in steps until you find the perfect amount of oil in the gas for your bike. I also only use Chevron Premium as my gas these days.
