I don't think so because there was little if any radiator fluid in the radiator, but still some in the cylinder head, and cylinder.

How was it running? Does the plug have a very shiny black coating on it? This would indicate the coolant is being burned. I had an old '83 CR125 that would burn coolant slowly and it was hard to tell because the smoke mixed with the normal exhaust. It ran ok but slowly became worse. I finally found a bad seal in the motor. By old CR I mean I owned it back in the 80's. I guess that makes me the old one.

The bike ran great, there didn't seem to be any leaks anywhere, hoses etc. Except the "oil" that was shooting out the bottom of my muffler onto the brake and swing arm. I raced my friends yz85 w/ pro-circuit pipe and silencer, and it smoked his. Although 1 time when you stopped the engine and gave it a little gas it did pop qietly. The head gasket had a little scratch by the piston, where was the gasket that you found leaking? Last edited by CR803; 03-19-2006 at 07:08 PM.

Just looked at my bike again, could it be the cylinder base gasket leaking? Because I don't see it leaking anywhere exept out of the exhaust.

I figured it out, after putting in coolant I found a leak coming from one of the hoses. So snip snip, clamed it back on and it was good to go. I was wondering if it matters if you use car anti-freeze? Cause you can get a whole bunch more for way less. Well too late I already used it in my back at the track and it seems to work fine, but I was just wondering what the difference is? Thank You

You can use auto coolant as long as you mix it with water, usually 50/50. DO NOT use long life or extended use coolant as this stuff seems to be very acidic and over time reacts with the aluminum. Also don't use Toyota coolant because that stuff just does weird shit to the aluminum. Trust me I work for Toyota!
