Need a tip rev limitto

I got a banshee 2002 and want to now how to elimanate the rev limit.

there is not a rev limiter on a banshee. If it feels like your hitting one you may have a problem with your air screw adjustment should be about 1.5-1.75 turns out

also, you dont really want a banshee to do much over 10k rpm cause youll fuck up your motor quicker

a banshee would happily rev to 20k if it would hold together . theres no limit to the rpm other than the pipes/mods and porting ....turbo banshees can break 13,500 rpms .

well, somebody correct me if im wrong, but you could get some bigger carbs and I guess that would let it rev farther? and maybe lighten the flywheel??

They were wrong. 2 strokes don't have rev limiters because unless your an idiot and hold it wide open for a VERY long time....they kinda rev limit themselves in their design. If you can't get your intake and exhaust in and out any faster, its not gonna rev any faster or higher. A 4 stroke, with its more complicated basic design, will break before it holds itself back like that, so you need a rev limiter. Port mapping, intake and exhaust mods are going to net you a higher RPM number, and lighteneing the flywheel (and the porting,iintake and exhaust mods to a lesser degree) will get you up to that RPM level in a shorter amount of time.

we've all really got a complicated thing going here....haha
