| yes it will fire with the water lines off. theres no safety switches on them. make sure the timing is correct. and the flywheel key is not sheared. |
| |||
| yep checked the timing mark and it directly in the middle of the three diff marks what else could it be? lemme ask you something stupid...when you check compreesion on the bike,,you have to kick it like three to for times to get a good reading, Correct? ![]() |
| ||||
| yes you have to kick it a few times, why you must have doubts about your compresion then? you might just be oil fouling the plug with the extra oil used in assembly. |
| |||
| i was kinda thinking that,, what about carb cleaner sprayed through the back side of the carb, thru the filter port? This might sound weird but it seems as though its burning a very small amount,, b/c after i kick it light ten times with the choak on i can kinda smell that wonderful maxi oil smell,, like it tryin to think i ought to move my timing mark one way or the other? |
| ||||
| i think thats your problem. your flooding it. you shouldn't have to kick it ten times with the choke on. try jump starting it. pull it behind a car and try that. |
| |||
| BOYYYYY the last time i tried it behind a car,,the chain pulled the handle bars sideway,,bitch to hang on and keep it straing ....any good sugg on pulling it,,do you use a chain or rope around both fork tubes? AND HANG ON FUR THE RIDE |
| |||
well i moved the timing around and got a backfire..now i was tryin to fine tune her and get the correct timing but is it possible that i may have to go past the three marks and advanced the hell out of it? i got a backfire when it was retarded not advanced?? |
| ||||
| are you sure the flywheel key is okay? yeah its a bitch trying to hold on while being pulled by a car. you have to put the rope around the forks and have your buddy go slow. and hang on. |
| ||||
| lace a tie down or tow strap through both forks. you should only have to go 5 mph. i have to pull 370's ass on his T4 all the stinkin' time. if you're backfiring i really suggest taking your motor apart again. how much seat time do you have? dropping a skirt is no good. . .
