If you ditch your airbox, your overflow reservoir no longer has something to hook onto, hence why the relocating bracket is needed.

Also, if you have to get one anyway, you may as well get one with those spark-plug holders. Nothing like being stuck in the middle of nowhere with a fouled plug.

Just like you saw above, your water bottle (coolant) overflow hooks onto your airbox, so when its removed you have to buy a bracket (to do it right) and this one has a spark plug holder thing built in which is pretty cool so you might as well get that one.


Removing the airbox free's up alot of space also, it looks better.

thank you very much...i was lookin up the k and n clamp-on filters kit for the shee and it says that it only fits stock carbs....so that basically means that i will have to buy different size filters when i make my carbs larger???

Yep, you will need bigger ones when you get dif sized carbs


You should be able to ebay your stock carb k&ns and not loose too much money when doing the upgrade

the bike will run like shit with the airbox...i would say move the clip in the needle up one position
