Default 2 reed spacers

ok i have a yamaha blaster and allready have a reed spacer, but a kid at school has one he said he'll sell me for $5, so my question is will putting 2 spacers in make a difference over one, so it'll be two 3/8 thick spacers.

I think that would be Way too much. 3/4 of an inch is huge. Ive never heard of anyone doing it so try it. i have no idea what the results would be.

bad idea there will be a loss of intake velocity and more crankcase volume basicly on a stock engine yo uwill take away the" hit " you would normally feel and it would mellow it out and probably rob you of topend horspower .it will shift the powerband to the lower rpms and make a very mundane linear powerband lacking 2 stroke punch

Also if you did that you would have to cut the boot going to the filter in order for it to fit or put a clamp on, on it.

thanks for the info eviltwin, i figured it would be bad since 2 strokes operrate on air pressure in the case, but do single reed spacers do anything then, cause when i put mine on i didn't notice much improvement would it help if i had an aftermarket reed cage?

i think an aftermarket cage is a million times better than a spacer. its a nice improvement, esp. with Vf3

without going int o a long detailed explaination of what they do exactly i will say if yo u have a mostly stock bike you would not notice much of a difference by using them ....getting vforce3 reeds or thin carbon fiber reeds on the stock cage would make much more difference .
