| Wasn't quite sure where to post this but here it is. Prob (1) My problem starts with an old metal fuel tank that had gas sitting about a year and a half in it and the inside of the tank has rust spots all around and the petcock is very hard to turn. What steps have you found works best for ridding old fuel and rust from the inside of a metal tank? Prob (2) I also have the same old contaminated fuel problem in a plastic tank that needs cleaning out also. If you know any company chemicals or products that helped you with this problem please provide a name and link. In advance thanks for the help. For being in the intake mods thread do boost bottles work? ![]()

| Check your phone book under gas tank or radiater repair. I had an old Porsche that had gas in the tank for years. I found a radiater shop near me that also did tanks. They cleaned it all out and relined the inside with a rubber bladder. He mentioned he did bike tanks all the time. Boost Bottles are useless unless you're building a show bike and want the extra chrome. Dont waste your money on one. |
