Well I had my mom run me up my package and it was my K&N (thanks nitrousbaby) but it does not fit the proflow plate.. (not even close) so I cut up this piece of rubber and I think it may work to clamp on the K&N > the rubber > the proflow plate?...

Don't see why it wouldn't work, looks good. Just make sure that you get it on all the way around it.

pipe clamp on the K&N to hold it on.. without the rubber part there is literally 1/2inch + of room so the rubber part it is still a little loose but at least it tightens onto it..

Not sure why it wouldn't just bolt on but that's good thinking, good move to make it seal & clamp!
Make sure the plate has a good seal against the box too ok.. I once cut a rubber gasket similar to what your doing... but for the back of the plate & worked fine!

IDK about that something is telling me that if you jump or go through rough stuff it is going to slide off and then be screwed. But as long as you check it it should work you might want to cut a new one that has a good straight edge to seal really good

the edge does not matter it's the outer part. It is actually clamped on it's not coming off i can clamp it on and wave it around flinging it and it wont move. Basicly it's a spacer so the K&N clamps on..now if I didn't have a clamp on it, yes it would come off.

yeah climb on the back plate it has a gasket on it but i think i may get one to covor a little more and make sure it is nice and air tight..

thats probably a pro-flo plate for a uni filter... differnt filter design...

Proflow uses diffrent plates for K&n and for foam.
