Default Boyesen power reeds

Well after much tuning and jetting my bike has now come to the stage where you pin the throttle and the damn thing takes off like a rocket.

Before i replaced my old stuffed stock reeds the bike had hardly any torque had a flat top end and didnt really impress me much, usually resulting in a heartbreaking ride that left me dissapointed.

After finally deciding to tear down the whole thing i replaced the reeds and swingarm and linkage bearings, loctited a few components, new brake pads, custom brake stopper, modded a cr250 brake rotor onto the rear, generally just fixed alot of things that were small, but all put together made quite a large difference.

Anyway, getting to the point: i had to jet the carb for the winter weather, so following boyesens guidelines for jetting i changed: Main jet from #340 to #360, Pilot still stock, 4th clip on the needle, 6 1/2 turns out for the air screw.

To sum it all up, the bike feels brand new to me.

Pin the throttle and you better be ready for some wheel spinning power.

Overall i am pleased with the boyesen reeds, and i would highly recommend them, you will notice straight away a huge difference to stock reeds!

I installed boyseen power reeds in my lt250 and they were a great upgrade over stock, the throttle response was great,i did add a full fmf exhaust and a k@n air filter and jetting ect.
My thoughts are to upgrade to the moto tasanari vforce 3 reeds like my sled has that was a great upgrade, but for the cost the boyseen was worth it all day long

Ps i have a set of reeds for a 88 and up lt250new in the package if anyone needs them!!Cheap
