Default spitting gas,needing goo?

I just replaced the reeds in my rad valve, scraped all the goo the guy before me used as a gasket, bought a new gasket ,and now its spitting gas out were the cage and head join.Sooooo I guess now im going to have to goo it too,im doing a head gasket on the 250s and a clutch on this the 250r is there a goo you guys use that i can get that will work in all these applications?should I use any goo on the head gaskets on the 250s ?I would rather not have to tear her down again so if some gasket maker goo will help with the durability then I need to know before I put her together.Let me know what you guys have used.
