Introduction

Hello all..Name is Chris I have a LT250R, my first quad, used to ride Bikes and I also have a 93 Toyota 4Runner Rock Crawler. I am currently in the US Army, stationed at FT Lewis Washington. I am from Oregon and have spent all of my riding time there on the dunes down by North Bend. My 85 Lt 250 R is my current project, taking my time in "cleaning it up" and adding some new parts. My wife has an Suzuki Ozark 250 and my oldest daughter has a Suzuki LT80. Looking to go to a few places here in Washington soon, Tahuya, Evans Creek...and of course the occasional ride on Ft Lewis.

hey chris welcome to the forum....you should go check out the sand dune at desert air....i used to live in yakima so i was only a hour away or so....it is just one big ass dune by a lake....not the best but fun and you don't have to drive like 6 hours to ride in sand.

Hmm I did forget that moses lake is up here ( that is what you are talking about right?)

I am from Oregon so the drive of 5 1/2 hours to get to the coast is no big deal, have family there too so a place to stay is always there. thanks for the welcome

no it's actually on priest rapids lake...more of a dam if you ask me, though....there is a big sand mountain just on the south side of it....looks wierd as hell.....just a big mound of sand in the middle of no where.....it was nice when i lived there because the dunes were so far away for the year and a half i was there so i would go out there and screw around....SAND SAND SAND....i love riding it.

nice, another oregon native. im allways down in the north bend/coos bay area. we usaly ride outa boxcar or that new staging area they put in between there and the beach. i think its called bull run. anyway, there is alot of good info on here about all kinds of 2 strokes, especaly the lt250.

I am going to be down there on Friday the 11th and Saturday the 12th. Plan on taking out my daughter on her new LT80 and the wife on her Ozark for the first time. I am doing a ton of work on my quad right now (it is almost totally stripped) and plan on having it back together for the trip. The only thing I am lacking right now is recharging the rear shock.
