 CR250 owner from Michigan Hi, I just bought a 2003 Honda CR250R...and i'm still wondering if I made the right choice. I was looking at the 250 and a 2003 CR450F. I personally love the sound of a beastly four stroke, but i've always ridden 2-strokes...in the end I went with the 2-stroke. It has full FMF on it and some sort of aftermarket air filter... but it's pretty fast. Anyways i've never ridden a 450F so I was just wondering if any of you have ridden or owned both a 250 and 450 and what you thought about each one.       |

| Welcome to E2S. I had both and preferred the smoker over the poker. It's all about how much money you have to spend to rebuild either machine when you blow that bitch apart. A poker is $2K+ and a smoker is less than $700. That is for a complete rebuild of the moving parts. If you like the sound of a thumper then get a CR500 to add to your stable. It put's out a nice throaty sound.
