Just a quick introduction

Just thought I'd pop in and introduce myself. My name is Rob and I have been ridin' for many years. Unfortunately, I haven't been able to own a dirt bike or ATV for many years so I had to settle for riding my friends' when we go riding. The family thing has to come first.

But alas, after so many years oppertunity finally knocks. I've been a die hard Kawasaki and 2 stroke fan forever. Always loved Tecates but was never able to afford one. It always seemed that everybody who had Kawis were faster then everybody else with the exception of an occasional Honda.

Anyway, I get a call from my sister and her boyfriend is ready to give up his 1985 Tecate 3 and wanted to give me first dibs. I thought that was cool. I had a pretty nice home stereo system and he wanted to trade straight up for it. The stereo has been in storage for 3 years because I live in an apartment and it was too much for this place. Needless to say, I was more then willing to make the trade. I started doing a little research on the net and wound up here.

The Tecate has a few things that need fixed but it's fine by me. I will enjoy fixin' er up and ridin' the heck out of it. I'm very excited to finally own my first Tecate, to say the least!

I hope I can find a way to be an active and productive member here as I hope to hang around. Looks like a cool forum.
